Enterprises have stopped production, which seems to be a good thing for lithium batteries.

The tragedy is that it was forced to transform. As a major mobile phone producer, the number of lithium power plants in China once reached 1,000. However, with the popularity of smart phones, the lithium battery industry has increased the threshold, resulting in difficult to survive the manufacturers, causing the merger tide. The data shows that there are currently more than 1,000 lithium battery manufacturers in China, claiming a total of 500 conversion battery factories. It is clear that more than 200 companies will have to do.

At related industry forums held recently, many lithium battery manufacturers indicated that they would transition to becoming power batteries in the future, and may see the forthcoming “Energy-saving and New Energy Vehicle Development Plan”. In the next 10 years, China will invest 100 billion yuan to support the development of the new energy automotive industry. As the core component power battery preferred, lithium batteries will usher in new opportunities for development.

In an interview with the reporter, Prince Dong, director of the National “863” electric vehicle major special power battery testing center, said that the main issue of the Chinese lithium battery industry is how to make the battery good, and most lithium battery manufacturers do not have the lithium battery core technology at all.

"Three bottlenecks in the development of lithium batteries: the first high prices, lithium batteries are hundreds of dollars more expensive than traditional lead-acid batteries; the second is of poor security; the third lacks a unified after-sales service system, and consumers appear in products. Maintenance after the problem is very difficult.” Wang Dong, director of the CCTV network of electric vehicle channels, said, “I believe that if the lithium battery can gradually solve these problems, the future of the lithium battery market will certainly be recognized.”

Prince Dong believes that the current domestic industrial production capacity of lithium-ion battery is still being formed. Although it can support the supporting model vehicles, there are many problems in stability and safety. The state should establish an access mechanism for motive batteries. Otherwise, blind investment is simply a waste.
