FURUNO Electric Introduces New Independent Color 1815 LCD Radar

Recently, FURUNO Electric launched a new independent color 1815 LCD radar, which brought surprises and expectations to the market again. The Furuno 1815 radar combines the best features of a durable, independent radar package with an 8.4-inch color LCD display and a 4 kW radome antenna.
The 1815 LCD radar is designed for all types of vessels, including yachts, work boats and small fishing vessels. These vessels require an easy-to-use, low-cost, full-color radar.
The 1815 LCD Radar allows you to choose from several adjustable display colors to ensure that they are easily visible from day to night under different conditions.
When mounted on a tabletop, the 1815 LCD Radar's gimbal helps to show the rotation of the swivel joint, helping the user adjust the display angle for optimal visual comfort. For added flexibility, the 1815 LCD radar can be installed overhead and is mounted in a simple 5" hole saw.
It is reported that this compact radar has many features of FURUNO's latest radar, including FURUNO's Fast Target Tracking (TT) function, which helps users to track up to 10 targets manually or automatically.
Since the 1815 LCD radar will display the tracked target speed and display vector in seconds, it helps to quickly assess the danger of approaching or moving the target. In addition to fast target tracking, the 1815 LCD radar can display up to 100 AIS targets when interfaced with an Automatic Ship Identification System (AIS) receiver and applicable sensors. Another useful feature is Furun Electric's proprietary true tracking mode. With true tracking, moving objects will display a gradual trajectory behind the target, making it easy to measure the directional motion of the target.
The 1815 LCD radar will also take advantage of Furun Electric's live mode to read the display more intuitively. For example, when the ship is turning, the echo will remain consistent on the display, so the target on the screen can be constantly seen without waiting for the post-steering update. This mode has proven to be particularly useful when turning to avoid dangerous targets.
The automatic gain reduction on the 1815 LCD radar will take advantage of Guino Electric's decades of experience and innovative algorithms. This means that the 1815 LCD radar is second to none in terms of clutter suppression. In the absence of user input, the radar will automatically eliminate unwanted echoes and present a clear display image every time the antenna is swept. This will ensure that other ships, buoys and objects on the surface of the sea can be found when the weather is good, or when visibility is poor, such as sudden fog and storms.
