Five years ago, the Chinese Academy of Sciences launched the "Strategy of Transformative Nano-industry Manufacturing Technology" Strategic Pilot Science and Technology Project (hereinafter referred to as "Nano Special Project"), which supports scientists to push laboratory pilot testing technology to the pilot plant, allowing more nano-technology achievements to move toward Practical application. The name of the nanometer originates from the Greek word meaning "dwarf". In fact, nanometers, like meters, millimeters, and micrometers we are familiar with, are all length measurement units.
"The negative 9th square meter with 1 nanometer equals 10, which is one billionth of a meter, is smaller than the length of a single bacterium and is invisible to the naked eye." It is only a measure of length. What is really valuable is nanotechnology. It is a scientific technology that studies the properties and applications of materials with structure sizes ranging from 1 nanometer to 100 nanometers."

Nanotechnology, as a new discipline that began to rise at the end of the last century, has received great attention in our country. In the Outline of the National Medium- and Long-Term Scientific and Technological Development Plan (2006-2020), nanotechnology is considered as one of the “promising areas for leap-forward development†in China. Qi Tao, deputy director of the Science and Technology Task Force of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, said: "It can be said that in the field of nanotechnology, China is in sync with foreign countries."
Thanks to the country’s great attention and intensive investment, the development of nanotechnology in our country is accelerating. One data shows that only 6% of the papers related to nanometer SCI (Science Citation Index) were related to Chinese authors in 1997, but since 2011, the number of relevant authors in China has ranked first in the world. At the same time, nanotechnology has gradually begun to infiltrate into many aspects of people's lives and is playing an increasingly important role.
In 1996, researchers found in experiments that DNA-modified gold nanoparticle solutions can be converted between two colors, blue and red, based on changes in temperature. This has led to the development of a new generation of medical diagnostics and therapeutic technologies.
