This technology proposes a new gasification principle for the complete endothermic-reduction hydrogen production of coal in supercritical water. It uses the temperature and pressure to reach or exceed the critical point of water (374.3 °C, 22.1 MPa), that is, the special water of supercritical state. Physicochemical properties, using supercritical water as a homogeneous, high-speed reaction medium for coal gasification, and gasification of carbon, hydrogen and oxygen in coal into hydrogen and carbon dioxide by means of a supercritical fluidized reaction bed invented by the team. At the same time, thermochemical decomposition of some supercritical water to produce hydrogen, the coal chemical energy is directly and efficiently converted into hydrogen energy.
The “supercritical water steaming†technology has advanced technologies such as more efficient, clean and pollution-free, no need for tail flue gas desulfurization and denitrification and CO2 enrichment and capture, low water consumption or even no water consumption, and can be combined with organic waste pollutant treatment and operation. Low cost, high return on investment, and complete independent intellectual property rights are a revolutionary technology that is expected to eradicate the source of smog generated by coal utilization. Compared with traditional coal-fired power generation and coal gasification hydrogen production technology, the new technology has significantly improved power generation and hydrogen production efficiency. The investment and operating costs after large-scale reduction are significantly reduced, and coal-to-electricity and energy-carrying industrial products can be realized. In order to deepen the cooperation between industry, universities and research institutes and promote the transfer of scientific and technological achievements in schools, China National Nuclear Investment Fund Management (Beijing) Co., Ltd., Hong Kong Rich Investment Co., Ltd. and Xi'an Beiqi Energy Technology Development Co., Ltd. jointly initiated the establishment of a technology investment in mixed ownership. It is understood that the project industrialization company plans to complete the construction and operation of the first industrialization demonstration project of the technology within three years, and accelerate the promotion and application of the technology in the efficient and clean use of coal and environmental protection. At present, it has been determined that the 50MW power generation and cogeneration unit and the coal-fired industrial heating steam boiler replacement products will be used as the entry point for the project demonstration.
