At 2:35 am on November 15, the "Hede No. 1" commercial AIS (Automatic Ship Identification) maritime satellite jointly developed by Beijing Hede Aerospace Technology Co., Ltd. and Shanghai Aerospace Technology Research Institute, was launched at the Taiyuan Satellite Launch Center in China. The Long March 4C carrier rocket was successfully launched and successfully entered the scheduled orbit. The reporter learned from the German Aerospace Company that the current technical indicators of the satellite are normal, and the on-orbit debugging test work is intense and smooth.
It is reported that “Hede No.1†is the first AIS commercial maritime satellite in China and the first satellite developed in China with a highly integrated design concept (“exquisite†satellite platform). The satellite adopts the "platform virtualization, functional software" innovation technology, through the highly integrated, combined, modular design, in the technological innovation and application capabilities to achieve a leap from satellite to micro-nano quality.
The satellite's advanced AIS system is world-leading and has a good detection rate for high-density and medium-density areas of the ship. It can decode 2 million messages from no less than 60,000 ships per day.
The "Hede No. 1" satellite ground receiving station is located in Shanghai, which is used for remote sensing and remote control of satellites, and completes the complete transmission and distribution of AIS data received on the satellite. The data processing center of Hede is located in Beijing to realize the efficient storage and distribution of real-time data and historical data, and to form a visual application platform by combining with the ground/sea chart, and to develop in depth for relevant application fields.
The AIS system consists of a shore-based, satellite-based receiving facility and shipborne equipment. It is a new type of digital navigation aid system and equipment that integrates network technology, modern communication technology, computer technology and electronic information display technology.
For a long time, the satellite-based AIS information required for domestic maritime services has relied on imports, and the cost is high and there is a certain risk in the authenticity of the original data. "Hede No. 1" as the first commercial AIS maritime satellite in China, fills the gap in the domestic satellite-based AIS market, for China's sovereign and territorial (sea) security, economic and social development, the implementation of the "Belt and Road" initiative and the maritime shipping industry. Development is of great significance.
“Hede No. 1†is operated by Beijing and De Aerospace Technology Co., Ltd. According to the relevant person in charge of De Aerospace, the company has been committed to the development of commercial space services based on microsatellites, hoping to truly integrate space into the future of connected life. The “Skywalker Constellation†plan being promoted is based on multi-load applications. The functional microsatellite constellation will provide professional services such as data transmission, ocean monitoring, remote sensing imaging, and disaster warning for the world, and is widely used in maritime, forestry, electric power and environmental protection industries.
