2, the flow rate measurement and calculation methods
The use of a flow meter to measure the water velocity is actually a measure of the number of revolutions that occur when the cup is impacted by a stream of water for a predetermined period of time. The rotation number of the rotary cup is converted into an electric pulse signal by means of the contact mechanism of the instrument and transmitted to the counter of the surface portion via the electric wire. For each revolution of the screw cup, the contact mechanism turns on the circuit once and the counter sends a signal. The measurer counts this signal number "N " and the corresponding measurement time "T", according to which the flow rate can be calculated according to the above formula.
