In response to this situation, the plant accelerated the implementation of dry gas, liquefied gas desulfurization, acid water stripping and sulfur recovery projects and construction steps. After the production, the sulfur content in the dry gas is reduced from 5000 ppm to less than 20 ppm. The whole plant heating furnace and boiler are all converted to dry gas, which reduces the consumption of natural gas.
The 100,000-ton methanol plant desorption gas recovery and utilization device is also a key point in the construction of the plant's energy saving and emission reduction projects. Since it was fully put into use in December 2007, it has received good results, saving nearly 400 standard cubic meters of fuel and gas per hour. At the same time, the exhaust emissions from the methanol plant are greatly reduced.
