However, traffic accidents caused by the quality of retreaded tires have frequently occurred in recent years. This phenomenon has aroused widespread public concern, and the “Twelfth Five-Year Plan†is about to be issued. Many problems in the tire retreading industry need to be rectified.
What is a tire retread
The tires that have been worn out or damaged due to other reasons and have been used for a long time will be renamed as tire retreading. Tire renovation is divided into a variety of situations. Problems in the retreading tire industry

1. Reclaimed rubber production enterprises are driven by profits, blindly develop, and low-level redundant construction, resulting in excess capacity. The reproducible rubber production enterprises have prominent polarization. A group of key enterprises have a production scale of more than 10,000 tons. The largest production company has an annual production capacity of 100,000 tons, and small production companies have an annual production capacity of only about 1,000 tons.
2. Some enterprises have backward production equipment, low technological level, and cause certain pollution to the environment;
3. Reclaimed rubber production enterprises lack financial and taxation policies. Recycled rubber production enterprises that meet the EIA standards are also unable to enjoy the preferential fiscal and taxation policies that tire retreader rubber powder production enterprises can enjoy.
(3) The main reasons for the slow development of the internationally recognized and environmentally-friendly and resource-based rubber powder industry are:

In summary, the best use of used tires is refurbishment. When the number of retreading operations cannot be refurbished after 11 times, the internal rubber, steel wire, etc. of the carcass are still of use value and can be reused. There are few companies in the industry.
Tire refurbishment currently belongs to Chaoyang industry in China. As China gradually enters the era of automotive aftermarket, China’s tire demand will further increase, and tire retreading industry is likely to have blowouts just like the automobile industry a few years ago.
