Zhu Jun, president of the China Tire Recycling Association, said that the door to green rubber production of reclaimed rubber has finally been knocked open, and the technology to achieve this breakthrough change is called “Multi-stage Screw Continuous Desulphurization Green Preparation of Granular Recycled Rubber Complete Technology Equipmentâ€.
The project leader Zhang Liqun, a professor at Beijing University of Chemical Technology, said that the project is a “863†project for the “Twelfth Five-Year Plan†and led by Beijing University of Chemical Technology, jointly with Jiangsu Qiangwei Rubber & Plastic Technology Co., Ltd. The project team is aiming at the disadvantages of traditional waste rubber desulfurization to prepare reclaimed rubber technology with high pollution, high energy consumption, unsafe, poor product quality and instability, the first twin screw dynamic continuous desulfurization and screw dynamic continuous shear to reduce the Mooney viscosity of the linkage technology To achieve green, energy-saving, continuous, and efficient production of the entire manufacturing process from rubber powder to reclaimed rubber, achieving "near zero emissions."
The technology has wide applicability, and can be used for green recycling of waste rubber resources such as high-performance tire reclaimed rubber, butyl reclaimed rubber, and ultra-low viscosity liquid reclaimed rubber.
How has the "near-zero emission" of recycled rubber production that has not been realized globally for decades been realized? Zhang Liqun introduced that the desulfurization equipment used in this technology does not use water in the technical formulation and is in a confined condition. The process of heating and cooling temperature of the desulfurized rubber powder prepared from the rubber powder is completed, and the water pollution and air pollution problems generated in the production process of the traditional high temperature recycled rubber are solved at the source; the viscosity reduction link of the Mooney is under the condition of sealed and low temperature, and the desulfurization rubber is improved. Powder processing performance, thus solving the problem of air pollution brought about by the high temperature and strong shear of traditional open refiners.
The monitoring results of the Suqian City Environmental Protection Bureau in Jiangsu Province showed that the air quality near the Recycling Rubber Plant of Qiangwei Company met the requirements of environmental protection, and the properties of the reclaimed rubber produced by the company were excellent and stable. After inspection by an authoritative organization, it achieved and surpassed the national standard for reclaimed rubber (GB/ Requirements of T13460-2008).
According to reports from companies such as Linglong Tyre , Fengshen Tire and Wuxi Baotong Belt Industry, the granulated recycled rubber products produced by this process have excellent performance and stability, and Mooney's viscosity rebounded small, which solves the problem of difficult mixing in downstream applications of conventional block-like recycled rubber. Decentralized, high energy consumption, easy to Mooney scorch problems, high efficiency and low consumption applied to the processing of rubber products. At present, granular reclaimed rubber passenger car tires and all-steel radial truck tires produced by this process have been successfully trial-produced.
According to reports, apart from “near-zero emissions,†the technology has great advantages in terms of energy saving and safety. Its energy consumption per ton of product is ≤ 650 kWh, which is about 20% lower than traditional technology, and there is no traditional high-temperature and high-pressure reaction. The dangers of high pressure in the tank, the danger of personnel operation of the high-speed open-type refiner, and the hazards of the harmful gas to the operating workers and other safety hazards. Full automation control also reduced the number of workers to 1/4 of the traditional process.
At present, this internationally pioneering technology already possesses 13 patents for inventions and has been organized by Nanjing Lujin Rubber and Plastics High-tech Co., Ltd. to manufacture industrialized complete sets of equipment.
