I. The trend of commercial vehicle market in January-April 2011
In April 2011, China’s auto market continued its downturn last month. Automobile production and sales experienced the first negative growth in 27 months since February 2009. It was also the first negative growth since China’s auto industry resumed growth since the financial crisis. The overall situation is not optimistic. .
From January to April 2011, the production and sales of automobiles reached 6,413,100 units and 6,533,900 units respectively, an increase of 5.09% and 5.95% year-on-year, respectively, representing an increase of 58.71% and 54.56% respectively from the same period of 2010. Among them, the decline in commercial vehicles was even more pronounced. In April 2011, the production and sales of commercial vehicles completed 377,700 and 407,700 vehicles, respectively, a decrease of 14.69% and 14.81% respectively from the previous month.
Regarding the continuing downturn in China's auto market since 2011, the China Automotive Industry Association stated: First, the withdrawal of policies such as purchase tax concessions and the impact of the country’s macroeconomic regulation and control; second, the continuous rise in fuel prices; The impact of the implementation of the restriction policy is also influenced by the implementation of the oil price admission policy and the earthquake in Japan. The impact of the earthquake in Japan was even more pronounced in April.
Second, April 2011 heavy truck market trends
1, the overall trend
Since 2006, the growth trend of medium- and heavy-duty trucks has been similar to the overall situation of commercial vehicles, except for the declining growth rate in 2008, which has been increasing year by year. After nearly two years of rapid development in China's heavy-duty truck industry, the space for market demand in 2011 has been small, and it is difficult for sales volume to increase continuously. In April 2011, domestic sales of medium- and heavy-duty trucks saw a month-on-month decline. In the first four months, a total of 501,160 medium- and heavy-duty trucks were sold, an increase of 3.09% year-on-year, and the trend was slowing down.
From the data, we can see that the medium and heavy trucks have a trend of heavy development. In 2006, the proportion of heavy trucks was 51.54% for heavy trucks, 48.46% for medium trucks, 79.11% for heavy trucks in 2011, and 20.89% for medium trucks. The proportion has shrunk year by year.
2, sub-models
From the perspective of the respective sales volume of the medium and heavy trucks, the China Cards were slightly depressed, and the market demand was not high, which was basically maintained at a fixed level. In April 2011, China Card sold 104,707 units, which saw a slight increase in sales compared with the same period.
Compared with the spurt growth in 2010, the performance of heavy trucks in the first four months was lukewarm. In January-April 2011, a total of 396,453 heavy trucks were sold, a cumulative increase of 3.33%. It fell by 18.34% in April.
Note: The sales of heavy trucks in this article include vehicles, tractors and non-integrated vehicles.
