A new generation of Porsche 911 Asia first sold 1.476 million

At the 2011 Guangzhou Auto Show, which opened on November 21, a new generation of Porsche 911 Asia was launched, and its official price in China was officially announced, with 911 Carrera at RMB 1.476 million and 911 Carrera S at 1.671 million.

The new generation of Porsche 911 cars and the new Boxster and Cayman released next year will continue to use single-structured platforms made of high-strength steel materials, but the biggest change is the use of all-aluminum car shell designs. Official data shows that the weight of new cars will be reduced 45Kg. The body size increases, the wheelbase lengthens by 10mm and the front and rear suspensions decrease. The current body size is 4491mm*1873mm*1299mm, which increases by 56mm and reduces the height by 11mm, but the overall ratio does not change much, maintaining the safety and stability. Consistently high standards, the internal space, especially the rear leg space changes significantly.

The front face change is not too big, but the bumper, air inlet and headlights are all new designs. The classic round headlights are larger and the position is higher than the bumper, mainly to improve the aerodynamic performance. It is worth mentioning that the headlights use LED design, while the front bumper integrates LED daytime running lights, these elements are derived from the Porsche 918 Spyder concept car. The biggest change comes from the tail. The taillights are molded into a willow style. Of course, LED elements are essential. There are also some changes to the tail styling, and the current electric design has been extended.

Indoors, the Porsche 911 features a new layout and a significant increase in material quality. In the same way as the new Porsche Panamera or Carrera GT, which has just been released, the central chrome trim throughout the interior and door panels, as well as the integrated center console from the middle of the seat to the central air outlet, are all new Feelings.

In terms of power, the entry-level Carrera models gave up the previous 3.6-liter Boxer engine and will soon be equipped with the same 3.4-liter unit as the Boxster S and Cayman S. The adjustments are slightly different, with maximum power of 345bhp/6400rpm and peak torque. 380Nm. Carrera S continued to carry a 3.8-liter unit, but with direct injection technology, the exhaust has also been re-adjusted, so that the maximum power increase 14bhp, to 394bhp/7000rpm, peak torque 440Nm. In terms of performance, after the optional PDK transmission and Sports Chrono exercise kit, Carrera only needs a 4.4-second acceleration time (up 0.3 seconds) and a top speed of 288km/h. The fuel economy performance is excellent, and the fuel consumption per 100km is very good. It reached 8.4 liters (currently 7.1 liters). The Carrera S has a acceleration time of only 4.1 seconds (a 0.3 second increase) and a speed of up to 304km/h. The fuel consumption is also good, with a total mileage of 8.9 liters per 100 kilometers, and CO2 emissions of 205g/km.
