As a result, Tianjin Petrochemical's primary processing capacity will reach 15 million tons, making it the largest refinery base in North China. The project began construction in October 2007 and completed in mid-September 2009. From the atmospheric decompression device at 9:30 on December 16th to 7:00 on the 21st, the last set of equipment was hydrocracked to produce qualified products, only 117.5 hours, which created the shortest time for the success of a similar project of Sinopec.
The project has a total investment of 6.8 billion yuan and covers an area of 92 hectares. It consists of 10 sets of new production facilities, including 10 million tons of annual decompression and 1 million tons of annual reformulation. Each year, it can provide society with 5.87 million tons of high-quality refined oil, 3.2 million tons of ethylene and other chemical raw materials, and 750,000 tons of other products such as liquefied gas. The major economic and technical indicators have reached the advanced level of the domestic industry.
This project takes the “green project†as an important goal, and takes effective measures to increase the construction of environmental protection devices and facilities. It has established environmental protection devices such as acid water stripping, sulfur recovery, gas desulfurization and solvent regeneration, and sewage treatment plants.
It is learnt that the driving of ethylene equipment in Tianjin Ethylene Project is being stepped up, of which the 300,000-ton/year linear low density polyethylene plant was successfully launched on December 12th.
