Shandong Weishan Rare Earth Mine

I. Overview

Weishan Rare Mine is located in Shandong Province. The mine began construction in 1975 and was completed and put into operation in 1982. At present, it has developed into a small-scale rare earth enterprise with basic supporting facilities for mining, selection and smelting. The products produced include: rare earth concentrate, rare earth chloride, rare earth oxide, polishing powder and other eight products.

Second, the nature of the ore

Weishan rare earth ore deposit quartz barite carbonate rare earth deposit. Rare earth ore minerals calcium, cerium bastnaesite ore fluorocarbon-based, and contains a very small amount of cerium apatite and monazite. The gangue minerals are mainly calcite , quartz, dolomite, accompanied by barite and a small amount of fluorite .

The ore composition of Weishan Rare Earth Mine is simple. 97% of rare earth elements exist in the form of individual rare earth minerals. Rare earth minerals have a coarser grain size, generally ranging from 0.5 to 0.04 mm. The ore is fragile and easy to grind. The main chemical components of the ore are listed in Table 1.

Third, the process flow and selection indicators

Weishan rare earth ore beneficiation plant process (FIG. 1) comprising: crushing ore to flow through two closed-circuit 18 ~ 0 mm, after a period of closed-circuit grinding mill to -200 mesh accounts for 60% to 70%, flotation feed deal with. In order to meet the needs of rare earth concentrate export, the number of selections can be increased to five times based on the above process, and the selected medium ore is treated separately to produce high quality rare earth concentrates containing REO 68%. The selected medium ore is treated separately. After that, a rare earth concentrate containing 30% to 50% of REO is used for domestic use.
