Yesterday, Vice Governor Xu Kezhen attended the 3rd China (Wuhan) International New Energy Vehicle Development and Cooperation Summit. Driven by national policies, new energy vehicles are ushered in a golden period of rapid development. From January to August this year, the country's new energy vehicles sold 245,000 units, an increase of 92.2% year-on-year, ranking first in the world.
Xu Kezhen pointed out that the new energy vehicles represent the development direction of the world automobile industry and are strategic emerging industries supported by the state. Hubei is an important automobile base in China. The provincial party committee and the provincial government attach great importance to and vigorously promote the development of new energy vehicles. They have made breakthroughs in core technology research, industrial cultivation and application promotion, and formed electronic control from electronic motors. The whole vehicle chain research and development production capacity, built two new energy automobile industrial bases in Wuhan Fuyang, and built a number of industry leaders such as Dongfeng Motor and Yangzijiang Bus, and the number of new energy vehicle capacity production and application is in the forefront of the country.
Xu Kezhen said that next, Hubei will give full play to the advantages of science and education resources and industrial technology, continue to increase the core technology research efforts, pay close attention to the construction of charging facilities, industrialization process and policy support, strengthen organizational promotion, and comprehensively promote the new energy automobile industry in our province. After the meeting, Xu Kezhen came to the Wuhan International Expo Center to visit the Wuhan International Auto Show. He stopped at Dongfeng Fengshen, BYD, Geely and other new energy auto exhibition areas to gain an in-depth understanding of automobile production and sales.
