Jet pump main drawback is the low efficiency, usually 15% to 30%, and the need for high-pressure fluid working medium. However, it has no moving parts, simple structure, reliable operation and self-priming capability. Therefore, it is still being applied in the chemical industry, especially in applications where motive fluid is used.
