Cox Powertrain will introduce control and display system for diesel outboards

Italian control specialist Xenta Systems has been selected to provide engine control systems. The system will include the joystick and throttle of the CXO300 high-power diesel outboard. In addition, Murphy by Enovation Controls0gs will provide a powerful display.

It is reported that the display will be equipped with a full-featured engine fault diagnosis display - PowerView1200 display. Although Murphy will not officially launch the PowerView 1200 display by the end of this year, Cox Powertrain will give visitors a chance to show their monitors on their booths.

As the first company to develop and apply patents for intuitive joystick control systems, Xenta Systems will work closely with the retrofit and OEM production markets to provide a fully integrated engine control package that provides seamless operability for ships at close range. Murphy's PowerView display system will provide a full-featured, configurable display and an easy-to-read operator interface. As Murphy's largest engine display system, the new PowerView 1200 has been used as its power, large storage and superior connectivity. The 12.3-inch, glare-free LED display is easy to use, even when viewed in full sunlight, and the display is fully fixed, making it a solution for a variety of environments and applications.

The CXO300 high-power diesel outboard, still in the final stages of development, will be launched in the second half of 2018 after a series of tests. Since the US and European dealer networks have been formed, Cox Powertrain has confirmed the establishment of a dealer sales network in New Zealand and Fiji.
