China once again becomes the largest global market for Hyundai Motor

In August of this year, Hyundai Motor Group's global sales reached 461,941 vehicles, a year-on-year increase of 5%. Among them, sales in the Chinese market (excluding Hyundai and Kia's imported vehicle sales) were as high as 98,044, an increase of 12.5% ​​year-on-year. Sales in China account for 20% of Hyundai Motor Group's global sales. Once again, China has become Hyundai Motor's largest global market. In addition, Hyundai Motor's two joint ventures in China were among the top ten sales in August. Beijing Hyundai Motor and Dongfeng Yueda Kia Motors sold 63,000 vehicles and 35,000 vehicles respectively.

Hyundai Motor has already become China's fifth-largest automaker. The top four are FAW-Volkswagen, Shanghai Volkswagen, Shanghai General Motors, and Chery Automobile. Hyundai Motor plans to shorten the gap with the top three. At present, the annual production capacity of Hyundai Motor has reached 600,000 units. After Hyundai's third plant in China is put into operation in 2012, its annual production capacity in China will increase year by year.
