The DMG SPEED linear- series, a new generation of machine tools with a Swiss-style design, has two notable features: high dynamic performance due to the use of linear motors and ultra-high precision of external radial runout of 0.0015 mm. Amazing processing efficiency and high processing flexibility when machining complex parts. Depending on the complexity of the workpiece being machined, 5, 7 and 9 CNC axes can be selected for machining at the same time.
In short, users of the SPEED linear range get extremely high turning performance. Also typical are the main and sub-spindle, which all have an integral electric spindle and a chuck chuck with a rotational speed of up to 12,000 rpm, so they can be processed in parallel at different speeds.
Remarkably, due to the ultra-high acceleration obtained with a linear motor, the acceleration from 0 to 40 m/min takes only 0,04 seconds, which greatly shortens the auxiliary machining time.
